I am the founder of Right Choice Therapy, LLC. I am a psychotherapist with over 10 years of providing individual counseling and group services. I received my Masters in Social Work from Dominican University (River Forest, Illinois) in 2011. I earned a undergraduate degree in Sociology from Northern Illinois University (Dekalb, Illinois) in 2008.
Beginning my career in Chicago, IL I worked in various community agencies, a public high school, mental health facilities, community health centers, and several local hospitals. I have a range of capacities as a therapist, case manager, school social worker, family support specialist, crisis social worker, treatment counselor, and service coordinator in the suburbs and inner city of Chicago. I recently opened a independent private practice in 2019 located in Oak Park, Illinois. I am a single parent of a teenage daughter. I was raised in Oak Park since grade school and currently reside within the community. I enjoy reading books, dining at restaurants, traveling, listening to music, and creating new memories with my family and friends. In terms of professional growth, I have continued to expand my knowledge base from the beginning of my career. I've worked in various settings with a variety of client populations. My specific areas of training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST), and multiple parenting education models. I received my accredited case manager-social worker certification in 2018. I am a strengths based therapist; focuses more on your internal strengths and resourcefulness, and less on weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings. I am capable of working with individuals to discover and embrace the development of their better selves. It is important my approach works well with every client I service. I will assess each individual and tailor treatment and counseling accordingly to obtain the best results. At this time, I specialize in providing counseling for both adolescents and adults. |
